What is Oncoplastic Surgery:

Oncoplastic surgery combines cancer removal (lumpectomy) with plastic surgery techniques to remove tumors while maintaining or improving breast shape, symmetry, and appearance. It often prevents the need for full mastectomy by using tissue rearrangement (volume displacement) or tissue flaps (volume replacement). That said, even a full mastectomy can be an easy outpatient procedure with minimal side effects and excellent cosmetic outcome, such as in the Goldilocks Mastectomy.
